Stay with me is now available on Amazon, Smashwords and Google Play. I am still waiting for it to go live on Nook and Kobo. I don't know what is taking it so long. Normally that are just as fast as Kindle but for some reason that was not the case this time around. I will keep you updated on when it does finally go live with them. Now that I've completed Stay With Me my next goal is to finish up the other two books that I have been working on for quite so time. The book that follows 'Only Me' and 'Remember Me' called Second Chances. And I really want to complete Shift but I think I am going to have to print it and do some major revisions there. I feel like it's missing something and I don't think I can just add it in. So I see a re-write in my future. I think that I have found some new inspiration with Shift so I am looking forward to getting back to work. I always knew that Shift was going to take a bit more in the way of research and so far that seem to be holding true. In other news I am also moving at the end of this month. I will be moving from Charlotte to Winston-Salem. Joy I love packing (said with all the sarcasm in my body). It's not a far move only an hour and twenty minutes away. However to some of my family members I may as well be moving across that country. I am looking forward to the change. Somewhere new. So that is all for now as soon as Stay With Me goes live on Kobo and Nook I will post the buy links. Off to work now. Goodbye for now.

Well everyone Only me is available on the following eReaders Kindle, Kobo, and Nook (The product page isn't up yet.). It is all so available on smashwords and the paperback is available in my eBookstore and will be on Amazon within the next 5-7 days. I am. I am waiting for smashwords to finish processing it so that it can go to Apple iBookstore. I am thrilled at since this was the second go round I didn't have any really problems with getting things done. Although Google Books is giving me some trouble apparently I can not use the following character [space] I kid you not that is what it told me when I tried to upload my book last night. I'm trying to figure out if they just want one long run on sentence or what. It's ridiculous really what do they want from me. I am so happy with how this book turned out. If you go over to the Snip its tab you can read one of my favorite excerpts from the book. I brought back some of the characters for Remember and I also created some new one. Now what I have to do is make a decision on what to work on next. I could keep working on Shift. I'm in chapter eight page 125 my goal is to have at least three hundred pages. Or I could work on another Romance novel. It's one that I wrote almost seven years ago. It needs a little polishing and maybe a few more chapters. But I could probably have it done in a month. I think I will live it up to my readers. Which one would you rather I work on first. Should it be Sci-Fi or should it be more Romance. I'd love to know what you as a reader would want. So please leave me a comment, or a suggestion. Well I am off to go and deal with Google Books wish me luck and Happy reading. My book has finally gone live on ibookstore. I am thrilled. Also just found out today that I sold my first book in Great Britain. I am now international. I am so excited. I have been working on my next book which to me has a very interesting plot. I can't wait to get this book out onto my computer screen, so that I can get it out to my readers. This will be my first sci-fi novel. I am experimenting with a new genre. I couldn't help it though. If you have read my previous blogs you know that I have no control over the stories that come out of my head. The characters tell me the story I just put it on paper. But the way that this story is playing out in my head has me riveted. I am looking forward to seeing how readers will like it . As far as google books goes I am still waiting. *sigh* Oh well whatever will be will be. I'll keep you posted.
My book has finally gone to the premium status on smashwords.com. Let me tell you that was a challenge. It took 16 attempts before I finally got the formatting right. But honestly that was my own fault. I have a bad habit of allowing the obvious solution to elude me. Normally it doesn't take me that long to realize what I should have done in the first place but I was out of coffee and my brain was not firing on all cylinders so what can I say. It was a little slow on the uptake. If you are possibly wondering what the heck I am talking about I will tell you. I had this same problem when I uploaded my book to three of the other sites that I used to sell my book. I just couldn't get the formatting right, hence they would reject my book or, I would if I didn't like how the finish product looked. Every time I had that problem eventually (usually in 3 or4 hours) it would dawn on me to just google it like I do everything else and find someone's video tutorial that would give me step by step instructions on how to format my book for said company. Like I said I blame it on the lack of caffeine and sleep deprivation, but it took me almost a week and 16 tries to finally think about googling a tutorial. However once I did I found an awesome one the gave me tips that I had no idea about. The guys name is Paul Salvette, and he is awesome. So before you decide to attempt to publish an ebook with smashwords save yourself some heartache and a headache and go to his website first http://www.paulsalvette.com . Follow his video tutorial step by step (and download Notepad++ if you don't already have it). This will save you so much time because smashwords meat grinder is no joke. They don't let anything through. So now that my book has gone to the premium status with smashwords my book will be available soon on iBookstore, Sony, Page Foundry, and Diesel (hopefully by the end of next week. I'll keep you posted.) I am still waiting on Google Books *sighs* Perhaps someday it will be available there too only time will tell. Next week the kiddies go back to school (I am positively vibrating with excitement over this. ) so that means I can finally throw myself into working on Shift. The way this book had been playing out in my head I cannot wait to get it down on paper. After I have finished writing Shift my next project will be a book I wrote about 4 years ago tentatively entitled Passion's Storm . I have decided that my books will go in this order Romance novel ,Series novel, Romance, Series, etc. I am doing it this way because my Series books actually require a lot more effort than just writing a romance so they need a lot me time and work. And this schedule allows me a break. With that being said it is 3 a.m. and I really should be getting some sleep Night All or is it Morning. Music To sleep by. I did my first ever radio interview yesterday. It was an experience. I like to say thanks to the host DJ Booz for having me out. I enjoyed myself, it was a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to more interviews with him in the future. I have you haven't heard the interview I'll slide it in this blog so you can hear it. In other news I am still waiting for Google Books to finish processing my book. Maybe it will be done by the end of August. (I'm not the most patient person in the world) Sorry. Now as an aside, why didn't anyone tell me about Smashwords.com before I spent hours on end modifying my book for countless different ereaders. Let me tell you what no one told me Formatting is no fun. But if you go to smashwords they will convert it to all of the different formats for you. You just have to do it once. No one told me this. Just make sure the you download a copy of the free Smashwords Style Guide and you are on your way to having you book up loaded and sent out to all of the major ereader companies. So now once I finish Shift Bond Unbroken I only have to reformat it once and it can be sent out to all of the other companies with little effort on my part. And when raising three kids and trying to write full-time. any short cut is welcomed.
My book is still being processed with Google books. I guess I should cut them some slack it has only been a week, but what can I say I'm spoiled it took less than 24 hours with everyone else. Working on iBookstore as well. I have applied with them I am just waiting for a response to my application. I the mean time I am now offering kindlegraphs for my book. To request one click the link below. Hopefully I will hear something from Apple and Google soon. I will keep you all posted. So my book is now available on Nook and will soon be available on Google Books. For anyone who is planning to publish a book an sell it through these companies I will give you the tips that you need to do it. Nook is relatively easy IF you can find the website. So I will give that to you now, it is pubit.barnesandnoble.com . Once you get there just set up your account and go from there like I said it is self explanatory. Now Google Books on the other hand is truly a process.
First things first go to google.com and the type in google books in the search box. Click on google books it should be at the top. Once you get there two boxes one says researching a topic and the other should say shop for books. You want to click on the blue link at the bottom of the page that says About Google Books (next to privacy policy). From there it will take you to a page that says About Google Books on the far left side of the screen you will see a list of options select Join now. After you have joined then follow the instructions on how to upload you book it needs to be converted to PDF format before you can upload it. Nook will usually have your book processed and up for sale in about 24 hours however Google Books takes about three weeks *sigh*. Wish someone would have told me that in the beginning. If I have know I would have started working on this a lot sooner. Now about Ipad, it is possible to sell your self published book through them however you need an account with them. I am still working on getting my book in there app store. Once I figure it out I will let you know how to go about doing it. So now it's back to work. I imagine I will be getting a lot more work done in a couple of weeks as the kiddies return to school (color me excited.) It has been a long and eventful summer. |
